Jonathan is a Japanese-American, New York based actor originally from Farmington, Utah. His stage credits include Julius Baker in Misalliance, The Big Man in Dogville, Ernest in Bedroom Farce, and Thomas Mowbray in Richard II. Jonathan graduated from Brigham Young University with a BFA in acting. He most recently appeared in a PSA for the NAACP starring John Legend.
Jonathan is a dual-citizen of the United States and Japan and holds current passports to both nations. He speaks fluent Japanese and has lived in Japan multiple times for nearly 3 years in total.
Aside from acting, Jonathan is a serial audience member. He’s seen over 100 professional theatrical New York productions in the past two years and averages about 80 movie theater visits a year with a particular interest in independent, foreign, documentary, and prestige film.
He'd like to think his performance style is akin to Aubrey Plaza being directed by Clint Eastwood. He also probably cares too much about everything.
